Car audio subwoofers are not loud enough and everything is connected.?

I connected my speakers and separate amp while linking them to another amp. I used a splice and am using eight guage wire. They are both connected to one 12 V battery. The setup worked great at first and then it kind of died. I replaced all of the fuses. The amp was taken to Best Buy and sent to the manufacturer where it tested fine. I also turned the volume control on the amp itself. Help!!

Exactly how is the system wired? Are you are tying the outputs of 2 amps together? Don’t do that. If you can say how the wires are all hooked up from the head unit to the speakers it would help. Also, Are they in parallel or one separate channels?
